for over eighty years. We are interested in people who share in
our commitment, and enjoy interacting with people as well as analyzing

Your Opportunity for Advancement
The Firms growth, through our business development efforts,
has expanded our staff requirements. This growth brings ample opportunity
for advancement with our Firm. We believe in promoting from within.
The pace of development is controlled by an individual's ability
to perform, not by a pre-arranged time schedule.
The Quality of Life
All professions make significant demands on its members. The accounting
profession is known for its overtime requirements during tax season
from January through April and throughout the year. Also, some CPA
firms require overnight travel for extended periods.
At Frank L. Sassetti & Co. occasional overnight travel is needed.
However, most of our clients are located in the Chicago area. In
addition, our client workload is more evenly spread over the year
as compared to other firms of our size. As a result, the busy season
hours are not as extreme as found at many firms resulting in less
burn out among staff members.
Professional Development
We offer a well-rounded development path. From the very beginning,
you will have the opportunity to work with state-of-the-art technology
on a variety of projects that provide you with a broad base of knowledge
and the tools with which to build your career. New staff members
learn to provide clients with a full range of professional services.
You proceed at your own pace increasing your ability to handle new
assignments.
The size of our client support team at Frank L. Sassetti &
Co. requires early participation in the client relationship. This
important step in your development could take years at other firms.
We will monitor your progress through direct personal supervision.
This guidance is supplemented by the use of standard audit programs
and standardized working papers.
We provide our professional staff with a minimum of 40 hours per
year of continuing professional education (CPE). This is in accordance
with the requirements of the AICPA, Center for Public Company Audit
Firms Section of the AICPA and the Illinois CPA Society. Internally,
we conduct staff training sessions. We discuss new technical problems
and make plans for each upcoming busy season. Externally, the Firm
participates in the professional development programs offered by
the Illinois CPA Society.
